Hey, I’m Stavros

I joined Capture One because I believe in empowering photographers and creatives and providing them with the highest quality tools to support their workflow. For the past 3 years, I’ve worked on improving collaboration between photographers and their collaborators, enabling faster and easier work in photography studios around the world. I’ve contributed to multiple products across mobile, desktop, and web, helped the company make better strategic decisions through research, and created processes and systems that helped the design team work more efficiently.

In the past, I improved the way security analysts discover serious security threats; I redesigned the experience of evaluating insurances with Cosmote Insurance; I led the design of a virtual reality app; and I have a MSc in Human Centered Multimedia from University of Amsterdam.

I’m based in Athens, Greece, I love storyteling, (I play Dungeons & Dragons a lot!), I am dyslexic and I have 2 lovely cats, Trufa and Mochi.

Stavros and I have worked together for five years; During this time, I've seen him collaborate with engineers, product managers, and fellow designers in a wide range of circumstances, consistently delivering high-quality features and fully-fledged products without compromising efficiency. His persistence, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently uder tight deadlines have made him a key contributor in every team we've shared.

Apart from a great friend in Stavros I found a passionate co-worker with one goal only in mind, to improve the product his is working on. Curious, sincere and humble by nature, he is constantly pushing the limits of what is doable without seeking the credits for success. Finally, due to his love for research, Stavros does no express just an opinion, he has a set of data that support his suggestion. If these kind of data are not publicly available, he will happily set up a small research to obtain them.

Stavros takes great pride and passion at his work and its process. He has a good understanding on why he does every step of it and he was always open and available to explain it. Combined with his social skills, this led so that his presence on the team helped everyone move to a more user-centric way of approaching their work. I think he would be a very beneficial addition to any software development team.

What I like about Stavros is that he always finds creative solutions to problems and thinks outside the box. What makes him a great Designer is that his suggestions are based on User research, so I feel confident that he will come up with efficient ways to obtain the desired outcomes. It should also be noted that he does all this while possessing a great personality and anyone would love to work with him.
